Solar Eclipse 2024- Revealing Our Paw-sitively Spectacular Experience!

2024 Solar Eclipse Day!

Hello from Texas, everyone! After 2 days of driving through high winds, desert scenery, and high speed chases, we made it to Leander, TX just in time to enjoy the 2024 Solar Eclipse with our friends Bhanu, Sri and their lovely family.

Our video of the event has Winston’s take (for the most part) on the eclipse. Why is Winston giving his take and not Tommy, you ask? Well, Tommy slept through most of it. He woke up in time to be scared by the fireworks that someone shot off while we were experiencing totality but otherwise he slept the whole time. So, Winston was the one who stayed awake, therefore, he’s the one who got to share this thoughts on the experience.

A Cool Experience

This was a pretty cool experience. I’ll admit I was a little skeptical when Danny insisted that we travel somewhere to see it. Our original plan was to go to Missouri, but with our friends living here in Texas, we decided to come see them and make a whole trip of it. Plus, Texas is warm, which was very welcome on the tail end of a Wyoming winter. It was a good decision, and while I didn’t think the eclipse itself was a lifechanging event, it was a great experience. One I am thankful I got to have.

Eclipse is Over, So What’s Next?

We are going to stay in this area for a few more days. We plan to check out San Antonio, the wildflowers in the hill country, The Painted Churches Road Trip, a Japanese Tea Garden, and hopefully the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin. After spending a few more days here, we will head back towards Cheyenne, and will probably have to hold off on any more traveling until late May or early June.
