Revealing The BIGGEST RV and LONGEST Dog Bones Ever?! Jaw-dropping! TWT, April 18, 2024March 5, 2025 Check out our adventure this week as we find (what we think is) the biggest RV ever made and the longest dog bones ever created! This week is all about the Biggest, Longest and Tallest! This week’s episode is all about the biggest, longest and tallest RV’s, dog bones, dog parks and sand dunes.Posted by Jess-On our way from the Hagerman area to our new home base in Homedale, ID (near Nampa), we stop at the Bruneau Sand Dunes and see some of the tallest sand dunes in the world, some over 400 feet! We watch as several people walk, sled and one brave soul even sandboards down these dunes. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to get out and play on the dunes ourselves that day. It was already 85 degrees when we were there at around 10 am, and we were afraid we would end up with injured pooches!Picture of one of the sand dunes at Bruneau Sand Dunes State Park near Mountain Home, IDOnward to Homedale and a GIANT RV!After a short drive, we ended up at the Snake River RV Resort in Homedale, ID. This is a great family run park for both short term and long term stays. It sits right on the banks of the Snake River and has plenty of grass, laundry and nice large sites. An added benefit to our stay was the GIANT RV that was parked in the spot right next to us. It was at least 50 feet long and had to be towed in with a semi! Even the owner said that it was the biggest RV she had ever seen! Our site at the Snake River RV resort. Part of the biggest RV we’ve ever seen can be seen parked behind Lost.Chef Ramsey and the Light-Saber Dog BonesThe next day while Danny was working, I visited the town of Nampa to go grocery shopping, find some information about the area, get a fuse for our water heater, and find some bones to keep the boys busy. I was successful at everything except finding tourist information about the area. That was pretty hard to come by. I am one who likes to have paper information in my hands, not just online. Thankfully, looking it up online worked out well in this case as I found some pretty cool activities in the area to check out. More about that on a future episode! While I was out and about, I went to a feed store. Yep, the kind that farmers and ranchers go to. I found the biggest, longest, and tallest dog bones I have ever encountered! Tommy and Winston were happy to see me that night! They weren’t sure whether to play light sabers with their bones or chew on them. The chewing finally won out. A few days later, I went back to the same store and bought every one of those bones that they had. It was enough for Tommy and Winston to have a couple and each of their 4 cousins to get one as well. Unfortunately, we have not been able to find any more. So if you know where I can get them, I know six little dogs who would be your best friends forever! While I was running errands, Danny channeled his inner Chef Ramsey and created some delicious bacon cheeseburgers for dinner. He used the lean beef we get from a local source here in Cheyenne, Idaho bacon and locally grown produce. That was a great meal! In between that and working, he also found some time to do the laundry. I am a very lucky lady to have such a great multi-tasker for a husband!Winston and his giant bone. The Biggest, Longest and Tallest… Races at the Giant Dog ParkCentennial Dog Park in nearby Caldwell, ID is one of the biggest, longest and tallest dog parks we have been to. It has at least 3 large fenced areas for dogs of all sizes to run and play, nice grass, and good shade. Tommy and Winston loved going there every morning to run and make new friends. They even had a race one day!The Camper Rat Goes to OregonWhile Danny is usually the more outgoing of the two humans in our family, there are times when he can be a complete homebody. When we are traveling, he turns into what the boys and I affectionally call our camper rat. In camper rat mode, it is a challenge to get him to leave the camper for any reason. He says it’s because he gets comfortable in the camper and doesn’t want to leave his comfort zone. Regardless, we usually manage to coax him out of the camper. He grumbles at first, but then is glad he came along on whatever adventure we go on.On the day that we planned to go into Oregon, which was only a few miles away from Homedale, Danny was in full camper rat mode. It took forever, but once we finally got him out of the camper, into the truck and riding down the road, he really enjoyed the scenery and seeing parts of Oregon and Idaho. So much so, that when we got back to Lost, he started planning a giant trip to see more of the area this summer (more on that later).A stone church in Nyssa, Oregon. They had several houses and this church made out of these beautiful stones.A New FormatIn this week’s video we are trying out a new format that includes a “Kitchen Table” talk at the beginning.
