Idaho Nuclear Secrets Revealed! See What Happened When Danny Stood on a Reactor! TWT, March 21, 2024September 16, 2024 Posted by Jess- On this weeks episode, we continue our visit to the beautiful state of Idaho. We leave behind the beauty of the Tetons and Ashton to venture west to Hagerman. On the way we stop at the EBRI-1 Museum, “the birthplace of nuclear power” in the United States. The tour there was wonderful. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Where else would you get to stand on top of a nuclear reactor? Danny standing on top of a nuclear reactor at the EBRI-1 Museum near Arco, ID. After a quick stop for lunch in Arco, we continued to Craters of the Moon National Monument. This was another fascinating place. Ten years ago (pre-Tommy and Winston), we went to Hawaii on our honeymoon. It was so neat to see the same volcanic rocks and tunnels that we saw there in Idaho of all places! The temperature was 87 degrees that day, but some of the tunnels and caves were so deep there was still snow in them! Danny and Jess at Craters of the Moon National Monument. Finally, that evening we pulled into the Hagerman RV Village, set up camp, and ate dinner and s’mores. Not bad for a day Traveling with Terriers! Please check out the video to see the full adventure.
